The salary range is $67,000-$77,000, negotiable commensurate with experience.
This position is eligible for remote work in a hybrid model after successful completion of in-person training period and subject to satisfactory performance.
SUMMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The HR Business Partner is a lead staff member and an integral member of the HR team.
The HR Business Partner is a highly visible campus resource who is responsible for developing and maintaining effective working relationships between Human Resources and the respective Vice Chancellor, Dean or Department Head and their areas of responsibility.
The HR Business Partner manages all HR activities including recruiting, employment, total compensation, employee relations, labor relations and training and development matters for respective areas.
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) operates as a business partner, change agent, management advocate and employee champion for all levels of the University organization.
All HR Business Partners provide cross-coverage and back-up support for their counterparts.

EXAMPLES OF PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, organize and implement HR business plans that are aligned to both the overall University strategy and the specific Vice Chancellor, Dean or Department Head Lead HR strategic planning and business goal setting sessions with the respective Vice Chancellors, Deans, Department Heads and their leadership teams Develop human resources strategies to meet changing academic and business needs through organizational structure redesign, succession planning, creation of new positions and roles and the effective use of communication planning Build and maintain personal credibility throughout responsibility areas at all levels to effectively provide advice and counsel Provide direction and tools for Vice Chancellors, Deans and Department Heads to continually assess changing skill set needs, skill levels and skill gaps, overall team effectiveness and effectiveness of retention and performance management initiatives.
Conduct training and development sessions as required to meet challenges posed by workforce skill gaps Create recruiting strategies to address the changing business requirements and skill set needs of various parts of the organization; including but not limited to guiding and developing job descriptions, etc.
Assessment of training needs in assigned organizations and development of relevant training programs Oversee onboarding and transition of new employees and new senior leaders to the respective Vice Chancellor, Dean or Department Head responsibility area Coordinate, participate and represent the Office of Human Resources at the Classification Committee Meetings Provide cross-coverage and back-up support for other HR Business Partners and their assigned organizations Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned and/or the job description changed periodically to reflect changing organization needs MINIMUM
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training or experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
Experience:
Demonstrated experience (over 7 years) in progressive HR roles such as Specialist, Generalist or Business Partner.
Successful project management experience.
OTHER:
Travel to off-campus meetings is required.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends is required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
