Summary:
Reporting to the Resident Care Director, the Wellness Nurse is responsible for managing our residents' individual health plans, assist the Resident Care Director with supervising the day-to-day nursing activities, ensuring adherence to State and Federal Regulations, and ensuring that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Position Functions:
Plays an active role in direct resident assessment and the development of individual care and service plans
Supervises the S.A.M.M. program for residents
Provides emotional comfort for residents and their families
Supervises Resident Care Assistants in providing resident care
Responsible for documentation related to resident care
Assist with additional assigned duties at the direction of the Resident Care Director
Position Requirements:
RN or LPN, and completed State-required training
Ability to read, write and speak English
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, staff and community officials
Must have compassion for, and a desire to work with the elderly population
Prior experience in an Assisted Living facility preferred, but not required
